
Foundations Speech & Language is owned and operated by Sarah Schmidt, M.S. CCC-SLP. Sarah was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology with an emphasis in education for children who are deaf or hard of hearing from Fontbonne University in 2004. She retains Missouri state licensure and is an active member of the American Speech Hearing Association and the Missouri Speech Hearing Association. Sarah has experience with children ages birth to high school and has worked in a variety of settings.

Sarah specializes in providing speech & language therapy to children with autism, gestalt language processing, childhood apraxia of speech, phonological impairments, and language impairments. Her goal as a therapist is to provide functional, evidence based therapy to foster growth and enhance a child's communication for a lifetime. Her greatest joy is witnessing the look on a child and a parent's face when that "Aha" moment happens.
